CHOOSING YOUR ELECTRICAL SITE
A circuit breaker is an electrical switch designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by overcurrent/overload or short circuit. Its basic function is to interrupt current flow after protective relays detect a fault.
Below is a list of common items that draw electricity in your RV. If a combination of these run at the same time, Your electrical circuit breaker may trip in order to protect your property.
When you first arrive at your site, you typically plug in your fridge and water heater. Then you turn on your A/C. Combined with other electrical items eg. converter, microwave, stereo, lights etc. this can easily push your draw close to or over 30amps for a period of time. This may cause the circuit breaker to "interrupt current flow after a protective relay detects a fault".
It is a good idea to add electrical items gradually, in order to manage the load, so that you don't create a situation that causes your breaker to trip.

For campers: the park gate is locked from 10:30pm - 6:30am. There is no one available to open the gate after this time. The office closes at 9:00pm. For arrivals after that time your slip and park information will be outside the Park Store exit door. If you are booking please plan your travel realistically.
We believe that the lawn and external picnic facilities & stage are for the enjoyment of the public. These areas are maintained by the operators of Anicinabe Park. The City of Kenora does not handle the garbage that you generate at the park.
Large gatherings are asked to empty, and take off-site the garbage in the public garbage cans & also any extra bags from your event, for all the areas that your group used, including the beach. This is a "pay it forward" approach and in lieu of the $50/hr rental fee that was charged in the past.
Please respect everyone's right to enjoy the park equally. These shelters have been built with public donations for equal use by all.
If you are having a large event please text Susan at 807-407-1697, with your information. In this way we can perhaps manage group sizes and defer another group to a different day.
Note: depending on your event and group size, we may require a deposit of $100.00 to cover any cleaning and garbage removal that may be overlooked by your group.
